1.1 Introduction
Sometimes I get tired of out the box. Sometimes I get tired of default installs. Sometimes I get tired of searching through thousands and thousands of themes only to be disappointed because I can't find one that will truly delight my customers. Sure, Drupal is a fantastic content management system that allows you to build data driven websites in a moment's notice. But what happen when you go to your customer and they're looking for something more? They're looking for what's going to take their products to the next level and that's going to make theirs stand out against a sea of others. We, as developers and designers, need to be able to provide that next level experience for each one of our customers in a very unique way. My name is Derek Jensen and today we are going to go behind the scenes of Drupal to understand how we can begin to build our own themes, to truly delight each and every one of our customers.
