Hi, my name is Markus Muhlberger, and welcome to the Explore Amazon Web Services course. Amazon Web Services or AWS, are a comprehensive set of services that help you build better software. There are over ten regions and over 25 data centers hosting over 1.4 million servers. This vast computing power is used to provide services from computation to file storage, databases, application services, infrastructure management and much more. In this course, we are going to look at ten different services that you should know about if you do any developing of web applications or applications that are computation intensive in general.
