2.2 Configuring Our Development Environment

By the time this lesson is done, we’ll have our development environment completed and ready to use for writing code, and to use throughout the rest of this course.

We’ll set up a database using phpMyAdmin and will download and install the latest version of WordPress. I'll also discuss various IDEs, and then opt to configure Coda to be used throughout this course.

Finally, we'll use WPTest to populate our WordPress installation, to simulate a fully utilized WordPress installation.
