If you don’t want to spend too much time customizing Vim yourself, you’ll want to check out the Janus framework; this is a collection of plugins, mappings, and settings for Vim, all pre-packaged and ready for you to install and use. Installing does take a couple of minutes; but once you’ve got it, you’ll have a packed-to-the-rafters, full-featured Vim setup, ready for use.
